The Year 1986 in review for Phi Sigma Pi.
1986
- The fraternity hits its low point. Only 6 chapters remain. They include: Theta, Iota, Pi, Sigma, Tau and Alpha Alpha. Pi is ready to go inactive. Alpha Alpha is a weakly-knit society. Theta, Pi, Sigma and Tau were the four oldest continuously active chapters, having never gone inactive except during WWII. Iota had gone inactive in 1967 and was immediately reactivated.
March
- March 16 -Sigma Chapter forms the first official Alumni Chapter.
November
- November 1-2 - The Long Range Planning Committee was established at the National Convention in Philadelphia, PA.
