Chapter History
The chapter was impacted by Hurricane Katrina which hit land near southeast Louisiana in August 2006 at the beginning of fall semester. Southeastern Louisiana University canceled classes for three weeks and most students were forced to relocate for safety concerns. Upon return to campus the community was faced with massive clean up needs and financial impact. Epsilon Gamma struggled to regain their membership levels and interest pre-Katrina and went inactive shortly after.
