Lowry Wesley Bankston (09 Aug 1915 - 16 Nov 1999) was an Alumnus of Tau Chapter (T 1) at East Carolina University. Wesley was originally a part of Tau Sigma Sigma and he was not only the first to sign the Tau Chapter Roll Book, he was also the first President of Tau Chapter.

Early Fraternity Life and Career
He was a graduate of East Carolina University and earned a teaching degree specializing in Science and Social Science. While in school, Wesley was also the vice-president of the Men's Student Government Association and chairman of the Chapel Program Committee. After teaching for a year, he went on to receive a master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Mercer University. He retired from the U.S. government as a chemist and missile specialist.
