Early Fraternity Life and Career
Sandra Townsend started UMaine in Fall 2004. By Fall 2005 she got an invite to rush Phi Sigma Pi which she accepted. She was inducted into the Lambda initiation class with 4 other brothers on December 4th, 2005. The Spring 2006 semester she was not active due to class conflicts. Fall 2006-Spring 2007 she acted as Initiate adviser. She had planned to take Fall 2007 off to pursue a change in majors (from English to Biology). She found she did have enough time though for Phi Sigma Pi and since the elected president resigned, she was elected as president for the Fall 2007-Spring 2008 term. She was re-elected this year to serve the same position as president.
