In 1933, the fraternity decided to skip that year's Grand Chapter Conference. Instead they held two region conferences due to economic reasons. The Western Conclave/Conference was hosted at Delta Chapter in Pittsburg, Kansas and the Eastern Conclave/Conference met in Indiana, Pennsylvania.

Western Conclave/Conference

The split in the Grand Chapter locations is detailed in the 1933 Beta Chapter Annual Newsletter.

The Western Conference was hosted by Delta Chapter on March 3-4, 1933, in Pittsburg, Kansas. Representatives from four Chapters, three faculty sponsors, two regional directors, and two national officers were present.

The first meeting of the delegates was held Friday afternoon at 1:30. This was the business session at which time various committees were appointed to act and report the following morning. At 6:00 P. M. the delegates enjoyed a chicken dinner in the college cafeteria, sponsored by Delta Chapter. After the dinner an informal hour was held in the social rooms of Science Hall.

Prof. Whitesitt, National Treasurer, was awarded a service key in recognition of his services to the organization.

Speakers at the convention were William H. Bristow, Eastern Regional Director, acting as delegate for Clarence Williams, National Secretary, and Prof. C. H. McClure, of Kirksville.

A trip to the coal fields surrounding Pittsburg had been planned, but was called off because of late adjournment.
