1996

  • Construction begins on the current National Headquarters at 2119 Ambassador Circle, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
  • Alpha Chapter reactivation effort shut down by the university right as the chapter induction ceremony was to begin. Although approval from the university had been obtained at the Director level, the Vice President of Student Affairs learned of our efforts and stopped the process based on his personal experiences of Alpha Chapter receiving no support from the then weak national organization in the 1970's.
  • The first Alumni Directory is published.
  • Beta Gamma Chapter goes inactive.

February

  • February 12 - Beta is reactivated at the Truman State University
  • February 26 - Gamma Epsilon is founded at the University of Florida
  • February 26 - Gamma Zeta is founded at Western Carolina University

March

  • March 3 - Gamma Eta is founded at Florida State University
  • March 18 - Lambda is reactivated at the Clarion University of Pennsylvania
  • March 26 - Gamma Theta is founded at Louisiana State University

July

September

  • September 23 - Gamma Kappa is founded at Piedmont College

October

  • October 6 - Gamma Lambda is founded at Louisiana Tech University
  • October 15 - Gamma Mu is founded at Central Michigan University
  • October 27 - Gamma Nu is founded at University of Southern Mississippi
