Early Fraternity Life and Career
Afton enrolled at Virginia Tech after graduating from Rustburg High School in Rustburg, VA, beginning in Fall 2000. As a sophomore, she rushed Phi Sigma Pi in Fall 2001. After a successful Initiation period as initiate class Vice President, Afton was Inducted into the Chapter with the Upsilon Initiate Class in November of that year.
Collegiate Years at Alpha Rho Chapter
During her time as an undergraduate Brother, Afton was very active within the chapter. In her junior year, she joined the chapter executive board in the role of Secretary. The following year she served as the 14th President of Alpha Rho Chapter.
Alumni Years to Present
Following her graduation in May 2004, Afton moved to Lynchburg, VA and began work for Target Corporation in their management program. After a year with Target, Afton changed career fields and joined Nationwide Insurance as an underwriter. In addition, she enrolled in the MBA program at Lynchburg College.
Afton will complete her MBA degree in May 2007 and is engaged to be married in June 2007.
