Alesia Richardson (born 13 September) is currently the Vice President of Development and an Alumni of the Alpha Beta Chapter (AB 771) at University of Maryland- College Park. She is a member of the Beta Iota class.

Early Fraternity Life and Career

Alesia was inducted into the Alpha Beta Chapter of Phi Sigma Pi during the Fall of 2015. During her Initiate Semester she served as Vice President of her Initiate Class. She enjoyed many of the events during her Initiate Semester but especially Big/Little Reveal when she was paired as a 1 to 1 match with her Big Helina Selam. At that years Awards event the two won Best Big/Little Pair.

Collegiate Years at Alpha Beta Chapter

As a Brother she went on to serve in several chair and eboard positions. In the Fall of 2016 she took a little, Xaria Crawford. Throughout her time in the brotherhood, she worked on many different projects including the development of the Partial Inactivity Amendment, E-board and Chair Responsibilities document, Alpha Beta Family Trees and planned the 30th Founder's Day Celebration.

Alesia is currently a Vice President of Development on National Council and a member of the National Governing Documents Committee. In her free time she also likes to go to events held by Capitol Alumni Chapter.

She was the Communications Advisor for Chapter Excellence Board 8 from 2019-2021, the Secretary for Baltimore Metro Area Alumni Chapter from 2019-2020. She was previously a member of the Awards, Scholarships and Emblem Committee in Summer 2018, the Alumni Engagement Committee in Fall 2019 and acted as the Alumni Advisor for her alma mater the Alpha Beta Chapter from Fall 2018 until Spring 2020.

Professional Experiences

Upon graduation in Fall of 2018, Alesia started working as an Applied Behavior Analysis Instructor for children with autism at school in Rockville, MD. She enjoyed her position however, sought more research experience in order to be accepted into a Clinical Psychology Ph.D Program. In Winter of 2019, she was offered a position as a study coordinator at UC Davis Medical Center where she conducted research on individuals with schizophrenia using EEG and MRI. She is now pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Rochester with a research focus on language, communication and cognition in children with autism.
