As a junior, in 2012 he was looking for a group to help him network when he received a letter inviting him to Phi Sigma Pi's Open Rush. Intrigued by the blend of scholarship, leadership and fellowship, the fact that it was still a budding group and the unique structure of the organization, he rushed Phi Sigma Pi in Winter 2012.
