Early Fraternity Life and Career

The cultural transition posed many challenges, but she was able to find her niche in her academics, rowing for Syracuse Crew, singing with Hendrick's Chapel Choir, and inevitably, with Phi Sigma Pi. While only an active member of the Beta Epsilon chapter for a year an a half, Allison found herself immersed in organized activities, receiving the "Above and Beyond" Service Award two of her three active semesters. She sat as Chair of the Programming and Education Committee Fall 2003 and organized educational events, including a trip to the Corning Museum of Glass, wine tasting on the Cayuga Wine Trail, and an informational sessions preparing younger brothers for semesters abroad as well as living off campus.

Allison also participated on the Media Committee. She assisted with co-writing the monthly publication, increasing visibility for Spring Rush, and designed the Senior "year book" publication, Parting Thoughts. For her efforts with Parting Thoughts, Allison was given the Committee Member of the Month Award.
