Alpha Pi Chapter (Founded 6 October 1991) is located at Pennsylvania State University in University Park, Pennsylvania. The Chapter was founded by Chapter alumnus Name and is a member of the Keystone Region.

Founding

Early Years

23 people were in the first class of Alpha Pi

The Active Chapter

There are 7 committees within Alpha Pi: Service, Fundraising, Social, Scholarship, Correspondence, Initiation, and Alumni. The Prism is the Chapter's newsletter that is sent out to the alumni every semester.

Alpha Pi also holds a philanthropy (an annual fundraiser that raises money for a worthy cause) which benefits the Centre County Women's Resource Center. In 2001, the philanthropy changed from a Win Lose or Draw tournament into Brother Bowl, which is a competition between chapters to raise money for our philanthropic cause.

Chapter Events & Activities

THON

Alpha Pi is an active participant in THON. In 2001, the chapter raised over $13,000. In 2000, the chapter raised over $15,000 and placed third in the student organization division.

  • Awarded the C.H. McClure Service Award for our efforts at THON in 1997
  • Awarded Most Outstanding Fundraising Event for fundraising for THON in 2000.
