Fundraising Chair

Semester: Fall 2016
Andrew held the position of fundraising chair his first semester as an active brother. Though the semester did not go as planned, he did learn a lot from his troubles as the semester proved to be trying at every turn. He will go on to improve greatly in his future leadership positions, and apply learned outcomes to future committees.

Events Planned

The Fundraising Committee was able to host four seperate events, Donation Collection Week, Trivia Night, Holiday Cocoa Stand, and Phis Sigma Pi Sweatshirt Sales, over the course of the Fall Semester. Donation Collection Week, was a one week donation drive, in which brothers went to various local businesses, and requested any form of donation, usually a gift card. Using the gift cards we collected we hosted a Trivia Night, which was open to all UNT students, consisted of six rounds of various questions in varying categories, such as sports, Disney, and history. The winner of each round received a gift card as a prize. In the month of October we hosted two events, one of which was a sweatshirt drive to all chapters that had our letters. The other event was another campus event in which we made hot chocolate for passersby, and collected donations throughout the event.
