Andrius Benokraitis (born 9 August) is an Alumnus and Chapter Service Key Recipient of Alpha Rho Chapter (ΑΡ 358) at Virginia Tech.

Early Fraternity Life and Career

Andrius rushed Phi Sigma Pi in the Fall of 1995. He received a bid, and after a successful Initiation period, he was Inducted into the Chapter with the Theta Initiate Class in November of that year.

Collegiate Years at Alpha Rho Chapter

Andrius was very active as an undergraduate and served in multiple leadership positions including Interchapter Relations Chair and Public Relations Chair. He also was one of the early pioneers of using computer technology for the Chapter. The work of Andrius and others Alpha Rho Brothers such as Justin Nemmers eventually led to the creation of an official position in Alpha Rho, that of Information Systems Chair.

Alumni Years to Present

Andrius graduated from Virginia Tech in May 1999 and has remained very active with Alpha Rho since that time. Well before cell phones became commonplace, Andrius bought a cell phone for Alpha Rho Brothers to use when providing safe rides as designated drivers on the weekends. He continues to generously fund part of monthly cell phone cost today. Andrius also served a three year term on the Alpha Rho Alumni Advisory Board.

Andrius has received several awards as an Alumnus. In 2002 he was honored for his continued participation as an Alumnus with the Loren P. Johnson Outstanding Alumni Award at Alpha Rho's annual Alumni Weekend. In March 2006 he was recognized at Alpha Rho's Alumni Banquet for his dedication as both an undergraduate and Alumnus with a Chapter Service Key, becoming just the seventh recipient of this honor in the Chapter's history.

On April 25, 2009, Andrius married fellow Alpha Rho Alum, the former Kristin Koch in a ceremony in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
