Beta Beta Chapter (Founded 12 October 1992) is located at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. The Chapter was founded by Sandra Gainer and is a member of the Buckeye Region.

Chapter History

Founding

Beta Beta was chartered on October 12, 1992. Alpha Class was activated on April 18, 1993.

The Active Chapter

The current Chapter consists of nearly 40 Brothers striving to uphold Phi Sigma Pi's ideals. For the Fall 2009 semester we plan on implementing more events focused on raising awareness and money for Teach for America, our national philanthropy. Additionally, Beta Beta is implementing many initiatives to reconnect with Alumni Brothers, including a Founders Day celebration this October.

Since Beta Beta won the "Top in the Allegheny Region" award at the 2009 National Convention, the Chapter is planning on really stepping up its game this year by co-planning events with other on-campus organizations. Our intention is to host Kent State University's first annual Alternative Greek Week in the spring.

Sunday Meetings

Our chapter meetings Sunday at 7:00 p.m. and are located in the Kent Student Center. Please check the daily event board in the Student Center for the meeting location.

Eboard Meetings

Eboard is at 9PM on Wednesday evenings located in room 320 in the Kent Student Center.

Pinning Fall 2009

The Pinning Ceremony will take place on Sunday, September 27, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in room 326 of the Kent Student Center.

Activation Fall 2009

The Activation ceremony will take place on Sunday, November 29, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in room 316 of the Kent Student Center. Please join us to welcome our newest brothers.

Alumni Ceremony Fall 2009

The Alumni ceremony will take place on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in room 316 of the Kent Student Center. Pass downs will also take place after the ceremony!

Founders Day Reunion

Kent State's Centennial Homecoming Game will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2009. Kick-off is at 3:30pm, but the Beta Beta Brothers are planning on tailgating beforehand at noon. Not only will this event commemorate KSU's first 100 years, but we will also be celebrating Beta Beta's 17th birthday (on October 12). See you there!
