Blake Thelen attends the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and loves to bare the prestige of being a Husker. As a freshmen he had little thoughts on what he wanted to do with his life. He declared a major in Political Science and History. Finding this was not the career path for him he switched his major to secondary education. However, he found little interest in teaching and realized that teaching is a real job that takes a great deal of patience and malevolence (he hated the idea of giving people work to do). Felling out of place he decided to get involved on campus, joining University Ambassadors and Phi Sigma Pi National Honors Fraternity.

His involvement helped him meet people around campus and finally chose a career path that fit his creative and go-getting personality, advertising. He is currently serving as the 2010 Big Red Welcome Coordinator, planning events for the first week of the 2010 school year. Getting involved with Phi Sigma Pi has helped Blake become a leader around campus. He enjoys holding his role as Vice-President. In the last two years, Blake along with many other influential brothers of Gamma Omega, have worked to make Phi Sigma Pi outstanding at UNL and bring them out of thier previous slow down.

Blake currently serves as the Vice-President. In his first year of Phi Sigma Pi he was Gamma Omega's Recruitment Advisor reaching out to a diverse demographic of UNL's student population. In 2009 Blake served as the Regional Delegate for his chapter at the National Convention. He is known for his friendly spirt. You will always find him mingling with the new initiates or conversing with people where ever he goes.

Blake Thelen's Big Brother is Evan Kilgore, who is now an electrical engineer for the Lincoln Public Power District. He received a set of twins in 2008 as Littles, Cady Sargus and Pavel Patino. They are both active members and serve as Co-Service Chairs. Oddly enough they are dating and seem to do a lot of things together.

Blake Thelen (born 14th August 1988) is an Active Member of Gamma Omega (Chapter roll #) at University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Early Fraternity Life and Career

Blake Thelen attends the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and loves to bare the prestige of being a Husker. As a freshmen he had little thoughts on what he wanted to do with his life. He declared a major in Political Science and History. Finding this was not the career path for him he switched his major to secondary education.
