Carole Kreider decided to attend Eastern Kentucky University after transferring two other times, starting her college career at University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. She left after one semester, due to having to commute every day for 45 minutes, and not being able to afford another semester. She then spent a year at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College in Elizabethtown, KY, but was not moving further in her art education, and began to look at different universities throughout the state to find an art program that suited her needs. Eastern Kentucky University offered a small photography program, which enticed Carole into joining the University.

Throughout her first semester, Carole only focused on her studies. She attempted to join the Art Student Association, but had classes during the times the organization would meet. She felt as though she was not getting the full college experience, but could not afford any other organizations at the time.

After her first semester at Eastern Kentucky, Carole received an email to join Phi Sigma Pi. Debating whether or not she could afford it, she realized that a great way to make friends, as well as a way to take a further part in the campus community, was to join a fraternity. Carole attended one Rush event with her friend Kelsey Roberts, who also became a part of Epsilon Eta, and went through the Initiation process. In the Fall of 2012, Carole was pinned an Initiate of the Xi Class of Epsilon Eta. On November 17, 2012, Carole officially became a Brother of the Epsilon Eta Chapter of Phi Sigma Pi.

In the Spring of 2013, Carole changed her major to Anthropology, with a minor in Biology. She plans to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for her Masters in Ecological Anthropology.

Collegiate Years at Epsilon Eta

Carole believed to fully take part in Phi Sigma Pi she would be willing to hold an officer position. In December 2012, Carole was nominated to hold the position of Secretary, and was voted in. She accepted, and now currently holds the position for the 2013 school year. She was also nominated for the Technology Chair position, and was voted in. She accepted for Spring 2013. Once again nominated to hold the position in the Fall of 2013, Carole was voted in again and will continue to hold the position through the fall semester.

In April of 2013, Carole attended her first Bluegrass Regional Conference at Morehead State University. While there, she made new companions with the Brothers of the Gamma Beta Chapter, and also spent a great weekend with her own Brothers. While at the conference, Carole gained several ideas to put towards future recruitment.
