Chad Watts (born 7 August 1988) is a Brother of Delta Mu Chapter at the University of Maine. He currently serves as the President and also serves on the Social and Special Events Committee of the Delta Mu Chapter. At the University of Maine, Chad is a member of the Class of 2010 and is pursuing his B.A. in History and is minoring in Psychology. After his undergraduate career is completed, he hopes to attend a Graduate School in Massachusetts to pursue a Master's in Education and obtain an Initial Teaching License in order to teach in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Besides being a dedicated Brother to Phi Sigma Pi, he is also a member of the History Club and Phi Alpha Theta National Honor Society. Chad is a die-hard Red Sox fan, as well as a Maine-iak. He loves all sports, but is especially fond of baseball and hockey. As such, it is not surprising that he is involved in intramural softball and floor hockey on campus whenever he has some free-time.
Early Fraternity Life and Career
Chad started at UMaine in Fall 2006. In the spring of 2007 he was invited to rush Phi Sigma Pi which he accepted. He was inducted into the Xi Initiation class and elected as Parliamentarian at the at the end of the Spring 2007 semester. He was elected as Vice-President after the previous Vice-President went locally inactive for the Spring 2008 semester, serving as both Vice-President and Parliamentarian for the Spring 08 semester. Following an unexpected resignation by the President during the 2008 Fall semester, Chad became Regional Delegate for the remaining academic year and was elected as President in the Spring of 2009 and is currently still holding the office and will continue to do so until his graduation in May 2010. Chad has also been the Chair of the Social Committee and Special Events Committee on a few occasions.
