Awards Resource Guide
The intent of this resource guide is to add good case studies that are effective for chapter Awards Committees to use to improve their committee projects and events.
Introductory Ideas
These are easy ideas for younger Chapters to get started or more mature Chapters who want quick ways to supplement awards and reconigtions. These ideas require few upfront materials and can be easily planned and organized by a Chapter's Awards or Spirit Committee. In some cases a Brother at Large is also used for anonymous nominations.
- Brother of the Week/Month
- Recognize Brothers for small acts of kindness
- Recognize Brothers for weekly accomplishments
- grades
- job/internship acceptances
- Recognizing Achievements
- Superlatives and fun awards
- Examples: best big/little pair, most embodies scholarship/fellowship/leadership, hardest worker, best hugger, most changed since joining, most likely to be a millionaire, wittiest, most likely to brighten your day, most creative, most likely to be found in the library, most likely to become president, most spirited brother
- Make sure that the awards are representative of our ideals and never used to embarrass any Brothers. These should be used to celebrate Brothers.

Intermediary Ideas
These ideas require a little more planning by your Chapter's Awards Committee and may even need some inter committee collaboration. These ideas also will require a little more time and resource investment on the part of those managing these awards. These ideas will need to be planned in advance and may involve costs.
- Annual Awards, often given out at the end of year meeting or banquet
- Brother of the Year
- Alumni of the Year
- Chapter Service Key
- Nominate either your Chapter Advisor or Alumni Advisor for the National Outstanding Chapter Advisor Award
Advanced Ideas
These ideas require significant planning and/or resources by your Chapter's Awards Committee. This likely will involve inter committee collaboration and will take a significant amount of time to get started and manage annually.

- Campus achievement or recognition awards to students, faculty, staff outside of the Chapter
