Charles (Chuck) George Longen III (born May 22) is an Active Member and current President of Gamma Xi Chapter at Drexel University.

Pre-Gamma Xi

A Philly local, Chuck enrolled at Drexel University in the Fall of 2007. The institution's reputation in the STEM fields as well as its co-op program were a major selling point, although the dream of a life in the vibrant central city proved irresistible.

The Wonder Years

Chuck decided to attend a Gamma Xi rush event after hearing about it 30 min prior. This impulsive decision proved to be one of his best. Upon Induction, Chuck became involved in the Fundraising committee with a brief role as Social Chair in the Spring of 2009. It wasn't until Winter 2010 that Chuck decided to take on a larger role in the chapter finances, first as Aramark Coordinator for the 2010-2011 term followed by Fundraising Chair in Winter 2011. Chuck was elected President of Gamma Xi for the 2011-2012 term. This position is his first on the Executive Board.

The Presidency

Chuck hopes to expand the scope and potential of Gamma Xi during his term, in light of the recent and expected growth of the chapter. Revamping the Initiation Program, revitalizing Philly Cup and reworking the Fundraising process are just some of accomplishments he would like to see his chapter achieve in 2011-2012.

Modern Family

Chuck's Big Brother is Neal Magnotta, who is now an Alumnus.

Chuck's only Little is Wyatt Strutz, who is now an Alumnus from the Omega class. He also has a grand Little, Patrick Anstine, an active Brother from the Alpha Beta class.

Chuck is part of the Black & Red Family of Gamma Xi.
