Cosponsored Events with Alumni Organizations

From PhiSigmaPiWiki

If your Chapter is near an Alumni Chapter or Alumni Association consider cosponsoring an event with them. You most likely are already working with them on your regional conference so consider expanding your work together.

Benefits

Holding an event with a local Alumni organization will introduce your Alumni to them, and possibly give your Alumni incentive to join and thus stay more active. Additionally this is a great way to meet local Alumni who may not be from your Chapter. This is a great resource because you may want those Alumni to help your Chapter as members of your Alumni Advisory Board or even in events like Alumni Panel Discussions. Also since Alumni organizations are active year round, and not just during the academic year, your local Alumni organization may have events during your Chapter's breaks.

Delta Chi Chapter

Because of the large number of Delta Chi Brothers in the New York City area the Chapter has planned events in the city. In the past Brothers traveled to the city to watch a Mets game with Alumni. These events usually happen in our spring semester as we have tailgates in the fall semester. Because NYMAAC is also in the New York City area this is a great way to introduce the Chapter's Alumni to their local Alumni organization.
