Teach for America presentation
Big-Little ceremony
Meeting is called to order at 8:35 by President Lauren Snella.

  3. Minutes from October 8 read and approved without objection
  4. Officer Reports
    1. President
      • sign in on the Teach for America sheet
      • shingles should be here next week
      • parade of lights will be nov 30-dec 1 - applications due friday 10/26 - representative should be coming in to talk about it
    2. Historian
      • the photo website has been changed - check the BOW for the new link
    3. Parliamentarian
      • there will be a minilesson for the initiates in two weeks on Robert's Rules
      • there will be a presentation on Robert's Rules to the whole chapter the following week
  5. Committee Reports
    1. Fundraising
      • nov 9 is poker night - anyone can come
      • movie ticket fundraiser - tickets will cost $8- good for any movie and no expiration date - can only sell to brothers - counts as an event if you buy two tickets
    2. Service
      • first homeless shelter date is sunday 10/21 - we can bring 7 people
      • sign up for trick or treat for charity - flyers passed out before 10/27 and pick-up 10/27-10/31
    3. Social
      • retreat is this weekend - lauren needs to know about the maybe's - carpools will be assigned tuesday - we can check in at 3 pm
    4. PR
      • hoodies will be embroidered - probably cost a little over $20
    5. Awards and Scholarship
      • history of chocolate talk is thursday at the CU museum at 6 pm
      • career talk will be next week at 7pm
      • Atrain = Kim T, RayAnne, and Kate
      • BOW = Carrie
  6. Open Floor
    1. Movies for the Gulu Walk are playing this week - tomorrow in HLMS 252 at 7pm is Invisible Children, and Wednesday and Thursday they are showing Darfur Rising, same time and place
    2. LA info night is Wednesday in the UMC aspen rooms from 6-8pm
    3. Kaela is in the CU drag show on Oct 30 at 6pm in the Glenn Miller Ballroom in the UMC
    4. doing flyers and chalking for Teach for America tonight counts as a service event
  7. Snap Cup
  8. Initiates excused at 8:50
  9. Chapter Business
    1. expulsion from last week is final because there were no petitions
  10. Meeting is adjourned at 8:52 pm by President Lauren Snella.
