Delta Tau Chapter (Founded 14 November 2001) is located at Mississippi State University in Starkville, Mississippi. The Chapter was founded by Kappa chapter alumnus, Dave Nussbaum (K ???, ΔΤ 36), along with thirty-five other students and belongs to the South Region.

Chapter History

Colony Period and Founding (2001-2002)

Delta Tau's history begins in May 2001, when our founder Dave Nussbaum graduated from the California University of Pennsylvania. After graduation, Dave moved to Starkville, Mississippi to begin graduate school at Mississippi State University. Phi Sigma Pi's national office contacted him about helping start a chapter at MSU. Once Dave arrived on MSU's campus, he worked with the national office and the university to start a new organization. Once that was complete, Phi Sigma Pi sent down one of the Chapter Development Directors to help him with information meetings and to get the word out about Phi Sigma Pi. After a few months, they were successful in reaching the amount of interested students to start a chapter and on November 14, 2001, Delta Tau was formed. The following summer after the 2001-2002 school year, Dave and another Brother, Terra Kendrick (ΔΤ 15), traveled to the 2002 National Convention in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where they received Delta Tau's charter. Delta Tau was officially a chapter.

Early Years (2002-2003 to 2006-2007)

Middle Years (2007-2008 to 2012-2013)

Recent Years (2013-2014 to 2016-2017)

The Active Chapter (2017-2018)

Recently, the chapter has really turned around. The Chapter has made a lot of progress in focusing on becoming more successful.
