In July of 2013, she accepted the Research & Development Specialist position at the Down East Partnership for Children, located in Rocky Mount, NC. In March of 2015, she accepted the Staff Specialist, Advancement Services position at the Duke Cancer Institute (DCI), located in her hometown of Durham, NC. She spent three years working at DCI, and two of those years she was a Volunteer Hospital Responder for domestic violence and sexual assault survivors with the Durham Crisis Response Center (DCRC). During this time she felt a need to move beyond DCI and went to pursue a degree in graduate school in Perth, Western Australia (WA). In 2018, she spent a year in WA earning her Graduate Diploma in Sexology at Curtin University. Since 2019, she returned stateside and has been working at Cisco Systems, Inc. as an HR Representative for the US and Canada offboarding processes. |
