Michael Galanis, the first president, is the person responsible for first introducing Phi Sigma Pi to the campus. After recruiting several people interested in an honors fraternity, the membership training process began. Although it was an unusually small group of 13, the group managed to complete all requirements to become that of an official chapter. The induction of the founding 13 occurred on December 2nd, 2009, the date that is now recognized as the official birthday of the Epsilon Chi Chapter.

Epsilon Chi Chapter (Founded 2 December 2009) is located at University of North Georgia, formerly North Georgia College and State University, in Dahlonega, Georgia. The Chapter was founded by Chapter alumnus Sample Member and is a member of the Mid South Region.

Chapter History

The Epsilon Chi designation had previously been reserved for the prospective chapter at Minnesota State University - Moorhead. The colony's program was shut down at the colony's request. The designation of Epsilon Chi was given to the next colony, North Georgia College and State University. While the chapter designation precedes Epsilon Psi and Epsilon Omega, Epsilon Chi is a younger chapter.
