Chapter Events & Activities

The chapter has had several successful events, including many game nights and rush events. Rush events in the fall of 2009, included game nights and a volleyball match, which drew two new members for the year.

The rush events in Winter 2010 successfully drew in five prospective members, one of whom decided to withdraw from the initiate program only due to time constraints. The rush events included Brother Speed Dating, Ice Skating and an afternoon of impromptu games.

In the spring of 2009, the chapter took a scholarship event to the John Ball Zoo where they had a great day learning about the animals and bonding! The chapter began the annual Backpack Attack to gather school supplies for donations for our national philanthropy, Teach for America. The chapter plans to hold this service event annually, hopefully with increasing results every year.

The rush events for Fall of 2010 included a game night, speed-dating, a night of mismatched clothing and "mocktails," and a brunch made by members. These rush events drew three new brothers. In an effort to support the national philanthropy, the brothers of the Epsilon Psi chapter partnered with a nearby elementary school in the Fall Of 2010, to create a program where the brothers are "buddies" with the elementary students, which includes but is not limited to penpal letters, and tutoring the students.

During the Winter 2011 semester, the Rush events included a Game Day, Ice Skating, Movie Night, a Snow Sculpting Contest, as well as Sunday Morning Breakfast. The rush events drew two prospective members.

Fall Rush 2011 brought in the largest initiate class yet for the Epsilon Psi Chapter. The Rush Theme of "Third Grade Throwback" garnered the attention of seven new initiates, all of which successfully passed the national exam on their first try and were then inducted on November 16th of 2011.
