Early Fraternity Life and Career

Sample Member decided to attend Sample University... blah, blah, blah... joined Phi Sigma Pi... blah, blah, blah... I came to LSU in 2005 and was a little freshmen when I got an email from Phi Sigma Pi. I wanted to get involved with LSU so I went to the info meetings and decided to rush. I was an initiate in the upsilon class(Geaux UPS!). I became a brother and have loved every moment since!

I am the service chair this year and it is the first time I have taken a leadership position. I think that we have had a successful first semester for service. We had a backpack drive for Teach For America which was very successful! We collected monetary donations and school supplies that we will be delivering to the TFA regional office later this year!

National Involvement

I have been to other chapters around the south, mostly for football games! I went to SOCO last year in Bama and that was fun getting to know brothers from other chapters! I have also traveled to Auburn, Florida and South Carolina! I have never been to a national convention, but I am hoping to go to the next one!

Bigs and Littles

My big brother is Theresa Pinder and she was the coolest big ever!

I currently have 2 littles:

  • Amanda Morlas, who was my first little, is amazing! i love her to death!
  • Matt Sigur, who was my second little, is great too! he is a very fun little!

Other Interesting Facts

Just a little about me: I am from Mandeville, La.

I absolutely love playing softball and have many fond memories from that big dirt hole behind the plate! I play intramural softball with the frat every spring semester and that is always a blast. We actually made the playoffs this past year, but we only got to play one game. we will be back in the spring and hopefully will have a blast then too!

I have a slightly scary obsession with movies and television. I just love getting so far into the movie that you feel what the character does. My favorite movie of all time is Amazing Grace! It is about the abolition of the Slave Trade in England, and it is amazing! i recommend that everyone see it because it is just wonderful and Ioan Grufford portrays William wilberforce beautifully!

i have been a member of PSP for about 3 years, and hope there are more good times ahead!
