Chapter History

Founding

The Gamma Pi chapter at Towson University was founded on March 18, 1997 by Sharon D. Lilly Adedeji.

Early Years

There have been 20 initiate classes since Gamma Pi's founding including this semester's Upsilon class. The initiate classes and their names are as follows:

Alpha Bits, Beta Fish, Gamma Rays, Delta Ducks, Epsilon Raptors, Zeta Penguins, Eta Elephants, Theta Turtles, Iota Money, Krazy Kappas, Lambda Lambs, Mu Monkeys, Nu Naked Nuzzles, Xiberian Tigers, Omicron Ovaries, Pinapples, Rhobusts, Sigma Freuds, Tater Taus, and the Upsilon Gnomes

The Active Chapter

The brothers of Gamma Pi love having a small, close chapter! There are currently 23 active brothers with a class of 10 initiates.

Past Chapter Presidents

The past presidents of Phi Sigma Pi include:

Rachel Brandwein, Dayna Berman, Claire Carberry, Jen Speir, Jeff Carroll, Meghan Montgomery, Crace Schofield, Laura Toll, and Melissa Shapiro.

Our current president is Megan Mignogno.

Founder's Weekend

Gamma Pi celebrates their Founder's Day every spring with a formal banquet. This year Gamma Pi was proud to celebrate their 10th anniversary with many ICR brothers, alumni, and some of its charter class members!
