Every Initiation program should dedicate itself to helping the Brothers and Initiates get to know one another. Through social activities, service events or fundraisers - much of this will come naturally. Another way to achieve this relationship building is through interviews. Have dinner together, go see a movie and get coffee later on or before hand. Make it relaxed and enjoyable for both of you. Becoming a Brother does not mean friendship is automatically bestowed upon you and the Initiates...it takes time to develop. If you choose to use the interview process, there are many standard fact type questions that will help you and the Initiate get to know each other better. They include questions about your majors, hometowns, family backgrounds, places you have traveled, other activities on campus, etc...
You can also make it more interesting by including less traditional questions, here are some examples...
