Homer Knight (born DD MMM YYYY) is an Alumni Member of Beta Chapter (Chapter roll #) at Northeast Missouri State Teachers College, now known as Truman State University.

Early Fraternity Life and Career

Knight is referenced in a 1933 Beta Newsletter [1]. Information about his participation in the chapter, including his induction date remain unknown. The newsletter mentions;

Homer Knight will return to Bonne Terre for his fourth year of teaching. Homer teaches mathematics and hygiene in the upper grades.

Alumni Years to Present

It appears that Knight went on to teach at Westminster College and eventually would become Dean of Westminster College. Documents from the Harry S. Truman Library & Museum document photography notes of the former President Truman attending a graduation ceremony at Westminster, with Knight, in 1954 [2]. Additional photographs from the Truman Library and Museum also show Alben Barkley,former Vice-President to Harry Truman, attending a ceremony at Westminster with Knight in 1951 [3], [4].

While at Westminster College, Knight very likely made acquaintances with Winston Churchill, who gave a speech there in 1946. Documents show that Churchill presented Knight with a personal revolver as a gift in 1946 [5].

In 1954, Knight goes onto to Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College, now known as Oklahoma State, to become head of the history department [6].
