Jackie Porreca (born 9 March 1984) is an Alumni Member of Alpha Lambda Chapter (ΑΛ 350) at Temple University.

Early Fraternity Life and Career

When Jackie started at Temple, she roomed with her best friends. She wanted to meet other students, but knew that sorority was not her thing. She attended attended Phi Sigma Rush events her first semester of college, but was informed that even though she had AP transfer credits, she was ineligible because she did not have a college GPA. She tried again during the spring semester and became an initiate of the Alpha Gamma Class.

Collegiate Years at Alpha Lambda

During her first semester as an active brother, Jackie learned about the Regional Committee Program and enthusiastically accepted the position as Alpha Lambda’s Representative. She held this position for two years and helped plan the East Region’s Conference—SSIP (Scholarship and Service in Philadelphia).

Jackie held the positions of Secretary and the Co-Chair of the Alumni and Bylaws Committees. She was also Phi Sigma Pi’s Temple Student Government Representative for a semester.

Alumni Years to Present

Since graduating from Temple in May 2003, Jackie has tried to remain involved by attending Fraternity events such as: ΑΛ’s chapter meetings, ΑΛ and ΓΞ’s soccer tournament, as well as Formals. She has also joined her local alumni chapter-DVAC and enjoys hanging out with other alumni in the area.

National Involvement

Jackie’s first National Event was National Convention in 2003 which was held in Charlotte, NC. She had so much fun meeting brothers from across the country, she has continued going to the Grand Chapters and Conventions.
