Jennifer Hartsell was born in Orange County, California and grew up in Austin, Texas. She was inducted into the Beta Alpha Chapter (University of Michigan) of Phi Sigma Pi in January of 2006, and has been an active member for 3 years.

Jennifer attended Grand Chapter and National Convention as Beta Alpha's Delegate in August of 2007.
