Early Fraternity Life and Career
Jessica Newell decided to attend Louisiana State University, after a lifetime of cheering on the Tigers! After a year of wandering around LSU looking for a place to belong, Jessica rushed Phi Sigma in the Fall of her Sophomore year and never looked back!

As a Brother of Gamma Theta Jessica traveled to her first convention in August 2009 to Louisville, KY. She road-tripped her way to Louisville from Baton Rouge in Natalie Swierzbin's Trail Blazer, along with Brothers Ashley Ericksen, Brandi Ducote and Tim Kwan.
In the first weekend of November 2009 Jessica traveled with Brothers Katie VanSkiver, Jessica Thompson and Matt Lindstrom to Tallahassee, Fl for Gamma Eta Chapter's annual Hayride!
Jessica participated in one of Phi Sigma Pi's most rewarding and meaningful events, The Annual Alternative Break Project! Jessica traveled to Atlanta, GA for the 2010 ABP where she and other Brothers helped Heritage Elementary by constructing a vegetable garden for the students. Jessica spent an entire week in a freezing cold January getting to know fantastic Brothers from around the country, and making memories she will never forget!
