He is predeceased by his parents, John B. Smith and Ruth Smith (McNertney) and brothers Tommy and Paul Smith. He graduated from Mining and Mechanical Institute (MMI) in 1958. He was a 1962 graduate of Bloomsburg State College where he majored in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and was a member of PHI SIGMA PI. Jack became a highly respected teacher in J.F. Kennedy, Willingboro and Shawnee High Schools. He was honored as "Teacher of the Year" in 1984 and 1988. After 40 years of teaching, he retired in 2002." | ||
