Over his college years, he participated in the growth of Alpha Rho as Initiation Chair, PR/Inter-Chapter Chair, Alumni Chair, and President. With Alpha Rho's nomination and support, he was on Virgina Tech's Homecoming Court in 1996 running with the off-beat campaign "Just Happy to be Here." Joshua G. Marder (born March 1974) is an Alumnus of Alpha Rho Chapter (AP 251) at Virginia Tech.

Early Fraternity Life and Career

Josh chose Virginia Tech for its campus and co-operative education program. He joined Phi Sigma Pi in the spring of 1993, due to brothers he met on campus and a desire to avoid traditional fraternity life.

Collegiate Years at Alpha Rho Chapter

Josh jumped headlong into Phi Sigma Pi leading the Gamma Initiate Class as President, and building Alpha Rho's first road trip (to Tau's first open Founder's Weekend in April 1993).
