Her sophomore year, she changed her major to cell and molecular biology with a minor in MB3 (Molecular biology, biochemistry and bioinformatics) and became a commuter student. She decided to join Phi Sigma Pi to keep her involved in on-campus activities and gain a friend base at Towson. Spring 2008, Katie rushed with the Chi class of Gamma Pi chapter. Since then she has held a co-chair position with her twin, Lindsay Arold, for the Awards and Scholarships committee for one semester. She hopes to take a little in coming semesters.
