Katy was inducted into Phi Sigma Pi in the Fall of 2011 with Beta Phi's Alpha Iota Initiate class. She was initially recruited by Brother Christopher Storath, and her Big Brother is Anna Bewley. She went nationally inactive during the Spring 2012 semester while studying abroad in the United Kingdom but has been extremely active in the fraternity since.

In the Chapter, Katy is known for her unending sarcasm, sassiness, and overall ability to create and have fun with just about anyone.

Katy's major is English with a concentration in Literature, and her minor is Nonprofit Administration. Her hobbies and interests include: photography, working out, Zumba, writing, music, games (of all sorts), engaging in conversation, and volunteering. Her travel experiences include Harlaxton College (England) during Spring 2012. Katy is a Regents Scholarship recipient and also received the Frank L. Atkinson Scholarship from WKU.
