Early Fraternity Life and Career

Laura Kushner rushed Phi Sigma Pi national honors fraternity in Fall 2011. She served on the Initiate Service Planning Committee where she and a group of initiates planned a Service Event to decorate bookmarks for Phi Sigma Pi's philanthropy, Teach for America. After meeting many brothers and getting to know her Alpha Eta initiate class, Laura was initiated as an official Phi Sigma Pi brother. Subsequently in Spring 2012, Laura was elected to the Publicity Chair for the 2012-2013 year (following Kat Perry).

Laura's favorite seasons are summer & football. She would never turn down a road trip or a chocolate dessert. In her spare time, Laura enjoys meeting new people, brushing up on her college football trivia, working out, lip syncing videos (and sending them to friends), and reading economics books. She is currently pursuing a Biology major with minors in Business and Psychology. If she comes close to finishing her major & minors before she is ready to leave LSU, she might even add some more for fun... Lastly, if Laura had 1 wish, she would wish that everyday was the 4th of July.
