Lottie decided to attend Syracuse University after earning her Associate Degree in Liberal Arts at Corning Community College in Corning, NY, where she was an active member of Phi Theta Kappa, the national honor society of the two-year college. She rushed Phi Sigma Pi during spring 2008 as a junior at Syracuse University.

She is currently on the Historical Committee and is the copy editor for The Slice.
