In the Fall of '99, he was elected to serve as the Chapter's Historian and Parliamentarian. Matthew received his B.S. degree in Engineering Physics with a concentration in Optics in 2002, and received his Ph.D. in Optics from the University of Rochester in 2009. He is currently working as a Research Physicist / Optical Engineer for NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD.
