Michael Brody (born 25 March 1980) is an Alumnus of Alpha Rho Chapter (AP 4##) at Virginia Tech.

Early Fraternity Life and Career

Michael enrolled at Virginia Tech after graduating from high school, beginning in Fall 1998. As a sophomore, he rushed Phi Sigma Pi in Spring 2000. After a successful Initiation period, Michael was Inducted into the Chapter with the Rho Initiate Class in April of that year.

Collegiate Years at Alpha Rho Chapter

During his time as an undergraduate Brother, Michael was very active within the chapter, serving in a variety of leadership positions. He served as 5K Chair, Public Relations Chair, Infosystems Chair, and Parliamentarian. In 2003 he was voted Most Valuable Brother by the Chapter.

Outside of Phi Sigma Pi, Michael was heavily involved with the New Virginians, Virginia Tech's premier vocal jazz group.

Alumni Years to Present

After graduating from Virginia Tech in May 2003, Michael moved to Herndon, Virginia and began work as a Graphic Designer for SAIC. In July of that year he married high school sweetheart and fellow Alpha Rho Brother, the former Ashley Tyler. In summer 2005, Michael and Ashley moved to Ashburn Virginia. In 2006, Michael joined a small design studio to do multimedia production for NASA.

Michael has remained active with Phi Sigma Pi after graduation, participating in the Chapter's Alumni Buddy program with Initiates and has kept in touch with Brothers through periodic trips to Blacksburg for fotoball games and Chapter events. In addition he was a member of the Ageless Wonders, a flag football team comprised of Alpha Rho Alumni who won the Alpha Eta Hopebowl tournament three consecutive years from 2003-2005. In March 2006, Michael was elected to a three year term on the Alpha Rho Alumni Advisory Board. At Alpha Rho's 2007 Alumni Weekend, he was honored for his participation as an Alumnus with the Loren P. Johnson Outstanding Alumni Award.
