History

The National Council was first formed in 1925, shortly after Phi Sigma Pi became a National Fraternity with the founding of the Gamma Chapter at Bradley Polytechnic University, now Bradley University, on 2 May 1921. Joseph G. Bryan (Alpha 28) was elected to serve as the first National President.

The 44th Empowered Council was elected during the 2006 Grand Chapter Conference held in Kansas City, KS to serve for the 2006-2008 Council Term, and was installed on 18 November 2006 at the National Convention held in Arlington, VA.
