Early Fraternity Life and Career

Nick enrolled at Saint Joseph's University in the Fall of 2010 after graduating from Holy Ghost Preparatory School in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. As a Freshman, he was looking to become more involved on campus. Nick wanted to grow more as a person and believed the combination of scholarship, leadership, and fellowship would do just that. He saw flyers for a new organization on campus and decided to attend an info session. Nick rushed Phi Sigma Pi in the Spring of 2011 and he is a Charter member of the Zeta Iota Chapter. Nick has only missed one Chapter meeting during his time as an undergraduate, zero committee meetings, and zero Executive Board meetings during his 4 semesters on Executive Board. He always boasts that he has never lost a Zeta Iota scavenger hunt. Nick has also won a few superlatives including Best Bromance, Most likely to become a Millionaire, Most Fun, The Face of PSP, and Mr. PSP. He has held several positions in the Zeta Iota Chapter which include President, Vice President, Historian, Alternate National Delegate, Regional Delegate, ICR Chair, and Co-Chair of the Ad-hoc Campus Wide Event Committee.

Collegiate Years at Zeta Iota

Nick started out as the Chapter’s ICR chair while also serving on the Scholarship Committee. The connections he made as ICR chair helped him when he was elected Regional Delegate. Nick was the Service Chair and responsible for planning the service event for the Regional Conference at Gamma Xi. He organized Brothers to write Valentine’s Day Cards to patients at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Nick served as Historian while he was Regional Delegate. When he was Historian, Nick brought to the Chapter several new ideas. He introduced “Brother of the Month”, “Photos of the Month”, made photos available online via Google Drive, organized Zeta Iota's first ever Composite, started the first "Senior Sendoff", and created Chapter's Family Tree Lines/Names. During his 2nd term as Historian, the Vice President at the time resigned due to a new internship she received. Nick ran for Vice President and he was elected. Nick made the attendance for events available online and had Chairs meet Bi-Weekly for better planning of events. There was Executive Board Elections towards the end of the semester and Nick was elected President by the Chapter. Shortly after the election, Nick found out he would be acting President for the Chapter a couple of days after the election. Some of Nick’s plans during his time as President were redoing the Attendance Policy/Disciplinary Actions, Plan of Action Forms, Changing the way Probation was handled, Hosting Regional Conference, Campus Wide Event, Improving Communication among the Brotherhood, increase transparency, Decrease Brother Apathy, eliminate committee breakouts during Chapter meetings, have Brothers submitting amendments, and improve the transition process. Nick was also elected as the Alternate National Delegate for National Convention in Philadelphia. Nick became the Co-Chair for the ad-hoc Campus Wide Event Committee. The event was a 5 on 5 Dodge Ball Tournament (PSP Dodges MS) and all the proceeds goes to the National MS Society which took place May 3rd, 2014. He was in charge of the Finances and Operations. The event was extremely successful and the event helped raise over $1300 for the National MS Society.
