The Outstanding Service Project Award was established in 2007 and presented annually to the chapter that has an outstanding service project benefiting Phi Sigma Pi's national philanthropy, Teach For America. In 2009 this award was retired when the McClure Single Service Award was changed to recognize a service event benefiting Teach For America. In 2013 the Josh and Britt Marder Excellence in National Philanthropy Award replaced that award and the McClure Single Service Award returned to recognizing any one time service event.
