| − | Encouraged to join the Epsilon Delta Chapter of Phi Sigma Pi by two other brothers (Melissa Pocius and Vincent Ramirez) her sophomore year of college, she was terrified, as she did not know any one. She was very reserved and focused mainly on working a part-time job and going to school full time. Only being able to attend the Teach for America (TFA) event where she colored a dog with a baseball and titled it ''Keep Holding On'', she knew that this had sparked her interest. After impactful conversations with a few brothers, she prayed that she would be invited to the closed event. Surprisingly she was and from there she has derived her own course within the fraternity. Immediately in the beginning of the Spring 2K11 Semester she was nominated and elected to become the alternate on the Judicial Board Committee that was headed by Jerica Singleton. This sparked her interest in being the Brother at Large. After numerous talks with Ms. Singleton she decided to accept the nomination for the position and was elected for the Fall 2K11-Spring 2K12 semester. During the course of the Fall 2K11 semester she held three different positions: Brother at Large, Parliamentarian and the Co-Chair to the Awards and Scholarship Committee. These positions were not filled by herself to have extra slots on her resume but to help the fraternity in anyway possible. In the Spring semester she enjoyed being the Brother at Large and then was nominated and elected into the Vice-Presidency position. Her growth in this chapter has derived from the involvement that she has taken forth. She has grown from an individual that could not speak in front of others to a person that holds her head high and communicates clearly.
