Intent: The intent behind this proposal is to strike a balance for Initiate participation in Regional Events.
Origin: The impetus of this proposal is a similar amendment provided to the C&CS committee by the Alpha Beta Chapter.
  • What is the motion to be made on this?

I move to modify the existing section of the NRERMP as depicted below:

Regional Event Attendee Regulations

  1. People in attendance at any function of a Regional Event must be registered, have fully paid for the Regional Event or portion of that Regional Event where applicable, and have submitted the required liability waiver document.
  2. Attendees must be Collegiate Members, Alumni, Initiates, or special guests of Phi Sigma Pi. Special guests shall be approved by National Office. Initiates shall not be in attendance. Initiates shall only be present during events hosted at their respective Chapter's sheltering Institution and only if alcohol is not present at the event.
  3. Attendees must maintain an appropriate level of respect for all Collegiate Members, Alumni, Initiates, special guests, National Council, National Staff, and host property staff.
  4. Collegiate Members and Initiates in attendance must be from an Active Chapter and follow their respective Chapter’s risk management policy.
  5. Attendees must follow all host property policies and regulations.
