  • Council Member Name: Kyle M. Williams
  • Council Position—Proposal Number: VPCD-04
  • Meeting Date for Proposal: August 3rd, 2011
  • Objective this proposal falls under:
  • What costs are associated with this proposal?: None
  • Additional Pertinent Information: See word document
  • Various formatting and wording changes as well as other minor edits
  • Additions to the section listing responsibilities of the Host School
  • Cleaning up the section on the Regional Committee Responsibilities in planning (some of the old definitions were vague and amounted to little more then fluff
  • Added a section outlining that NOP addition of fines for Conference non-attendance
  • Adding a section on Workshops and Breakout Sessions to the Regional Conference Components as well as reemphasizing the roll of Roundtables as being the scholarship leg of the weekend. This is a part of a concerted effort to move away from those scholarship events that provide no value to conference attendees.
  • Adding Leadership in Action as a component of a conference. Note that this is kept as an optional component in light of our discovery that LiA being optional actually is beneficial to the conference as opposed to making it mandatory.
  • The section on planning roundtable discussions is built upon with more information. This to help guide chapters to exemplary roundtables.
  • What is the motion to be made on this?

I move that we accept the Regional Conference Planning Manual
