  • Council Member Name: Kyle Williams
  • Council Position—Proposal Number: VPCD-07
  • Meeting Date for Proposal: June 30th, 2012
  • Objective this proposal falls under: 17.0 BD
  • What costs are associated with this proposal?: None
  • Additional Pertinent Information:

Definition This proposal is to create a reward and recognition structure for those regions that achieve "Five Star" status within the Five Star Regional Conference Program. In creating this structure, we will:

  • Recognize the outstanding achievements of those regions and regional delegates that have reached "Five Star" status
  • Provide future regional conferences a clear benchmark and reference for exemplary regional conferences
  • Create a historical record of exemplary Regional Conferences which can be referenced by other regions as well as incoming regional consultants

Implementation To recognize those regions that have achieved Five Star status, it is recommended that:

  • An email from the Vice President of Chapter Development be sent to the Regional Delegates that have achieved five star status. These emails will thank these delegates for their work and recognize their achievements.
  • News Release outlining those Regional Conferences achieving "Five Star" status that will be shared across the various Phi Sigma Pi communication platforms. (National Website as well as any other social media as deemed necessary by the National Staff.)
  • "Five Star Regional Conference Awards" certificates be presented to the host chapters of the Regional Conferences achieving Five Star Status. It is recommended that these presentations take place after the State of the Fraternity Address at the Phi Sigma Pi National Convention.

  • What is the motion to be made on this?

I move to create the "Five Star Regional Conference Award" as well as the Five Star Regional Conference recognition structure.
