Regional Event Funding

From PhiSigmaPiWiki

Do you know that your region can be reimbursed up to $500 for your regional event from the National Headquarters? Well, you can! If you haven't done so already, go to the Member's Only section of the website and click on Regional Conferences under the heading Regional Development (While you are there, take a look at the Regional Conference Manual - it will help you in any and all planning of your event). At the bottom of the page is a form for Regional Conference reimbursement. Gaining reimbursement is simple - follow the instructions and make sure you save those receipts. Below, you'll find more tips to ensure that your chapter can get reimbursement.

Plan of Action

Here are a couple of tips to ensure your region gets reimbursement:

  • Save those receipts! It cannot be stressed enough that every item you want to claim reimbursement for is accompanied by a receipt. Why? Because you won't be reimbursed without it!
  • Numbers, Numbers, Numbers! At least 50% of your region must be in attendance to qualify for reimbursement. Don't forget to get each representative's contact information and mailing address.
  • Line item descriptions. You just can't hand in a bunch of receipts and expect to be reimbursed for them. You must submit a line item description for each receipt so we know where the money is going.
  • A quality Regional Event. The National Headquarters reserves the right to deny reimbursement to any event that doesn't incorporate our tripod into it. Going a little further, service events that consist of each chapter bringing cans of food, while fellowship takes up all day and night Saturday will be frowned upon (We don't want to minimize can food drives - every little bit helps - but when Brothers are coming from all over your region, this is the chance to put together an exceptional service event).
