Distinguished Service Key

__________ (insert name) of _______________ (insert hometown/state) received the Distinguished Service Key from Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity on __________ (insert date) in ___________ (insert city). The award is the highest honor a member can receive and represents continuous dedication and contributions to the fraternity during a person’s life.

__________(insert last name of winner) is an alumna/us of the _____ chapter at ___________ (insert college/university name). At _____ chapter he/she served as _____________________ (insert accomplishments, etc.). Upon graduation he/she ______ (insert national council positions, national committees, alumni advisor work, etc).

The Distinguished Service Key is awarded by the National Council of Phi Sigma Pi at the fraternity’s annual convention. The National Council consists of seven elected officers. Officers are alumni of the various chapters and work full-time in their respective careers while serving in their positions. Only ___ Distinguished Service Keys have been awarded in the ____-year history of Phi Sigma Pi.

Phi Sigma Pi is a national, coed honor fraternity based out of Lancaster, Pa. It was founded in 1916 at Central Missouri State University and today has over 4,000 active undergraduate members at 95 colleges and universities across the country.

To be considered for membership, students must be undergraduates who have completed at least one semester of college coursework and earned a minimum 3.0 grade point average. Membership is open to students in any major who have met the above requirements. Once inducted, members attend weekly meetings and participate in several service projects, fundraisers and educational programs each semester until he/she graduates.
