Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other such verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature constitutes sexual harassment when submission to or rejection of this conduct explicitly or implicitly creates a hostile or offensive environment. The following are examples of sexual harassment and the effects it can have.

Verbal Harassment

  • Sexual innuendos
  • Discussion of partner’s sexual inadequacy
  • Comments about body parts
  • Lewd and threatening comments
  • Repeated belittling
  • Pressure for dates
  • Graphic descriptions of pornography

  • Public humiliation
  • Obscene phone calls

Physical Harassment

  • Unwelcome touching/hugging/kissing
